東京マラソン 2025 まであと4日を切りました！

チャリティランナーの皆さんは、トレーニングは順調でしょうか。

Hello! This is the Tokyo Marathon Foundation.

Tokyo Marathon 2025 is less than 4 days away!

I hope all of you charity runners are training well.

2/13(木)にメールでご案内しています通り、大会当日のフィニッシュ後、

チャリティランナー専用のチャリティラウンジをご用意しています。

今日は、東京マラソン 2025 などで、チャリティラウンジのボランティアサポートや、

海外ランナーの英語対応などを担当する荒木吉雄(ラッキー)さんから

メッセージをいただきましたので紹介します!

As you have been informed by e-mail on 13 February, we will have a

Charity Lounge exclusively for Charity runners after the finish on the race day.

Today, we received a message from Mr. Yoshio Araki (Lucky), who oversees

volunteer support for the Charity Lounge and English support for overseas runners

in the Tokyo Marathon 2025 and other events,

and we would like to introduce Lucky to you!

Q:東京マラソンとの関わりについて教えて下さい

A:第 1 回東京マラソン 2007 から継続してボランティア参加しています。

2014 と 2016 はランナーとして完走しました。外資系企業で働いていたので

英語は得意です。定年後、マラソン大会事務局でボランティア担当を経験。

ご縁があって、東京レガシーハーフマラソン 2023 と東京マラソン 2024 から

チャリティ海外対応として翻訳やチャリティラウンジのボランティアサポートを

始めました。

Q:Please tell us about your involvement with the Tokyo Marathon

A: Since the first Tokyo Marathon in 2007 I have been participating as a volunteer. In 2014 and 2016 I completed the race as a runner.

I used to work at a worldwide company, so I am good at English.

After retirement, I worked for volunteer management at a couple of marathon offices.

I was Lucky enough to start a service, translating and providing 

volunteer support at the charity lounge, for overseas charity runners from the Tokyo

Legacy Half Marathon 2023 and Tokyo Marathon 2024.

同じ寄付先団体のランナーがいたらお互いの完走をたたえあいましょう。

ボランティアも皆様とお話しできることを楽しみにしています！

Q:What do you think is the appeal of the charity lounge?

A: Guided by volunteers, you will be greeted by smiling representatives of your charity organization in the charity lounge.

Please enjoy the unique hospitality of the charity organizations! If there are other runners from the same charity,

why don’t you congratulate each other on completing the race.

Please do not forget all volunteers are ready to communicate and congratulate you!

A:I feel incredibly Lucky to meet you all who participated in charity and showed your generosity from around the world!

You will be welcomed not only by charity organizations but also by many volunteers and all the other people involved!

Be proud to wear the pink bib and make unforgettable memories in Tokyo!
